The Easter holiday is about to come to an end, so Kate Middleton and Prince William's almost one month vacation in Norfolk will be over. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are about to get back to work when they return to London next week, and their new Royal duties are now revealed.
Kate Middleton will be going to Westminster Abbey to honor the fallen Australian and New Zealand veterans for the annual Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving on Thursday, April 25, per People. The day of remembrance will be commemorating the first major battle involving the forces of the two said countries during World War I.
London started to memorialize the event since the first anniversary of the Anzac landings at Gallipoli in 1016. At the time, King George V attended a service at Westminster Abbey.
Prince William, on the other hand, will arrive in New Zealand on April 25 that will mark the beginning of his trip. From Auckland, the 36-year-old royal will be meeting the families and survivors of the mosques terrorist attack, the first responders, and the Muslim community leaders at Christchurch.
Hello! reported Prince William's visit is requested by the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. "During the visit, the Duke will pay tribute to those affected by the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack," Kensington Palace said in a statement. "And will recognize the incredible empathy and unity displayed by the people of New Zealand in the weeks that followed."
After the horrific attack, which killed 50 people, Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the queen of New Zealand, and other senior royals sent their messages of condolence. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, alternatively, released their joint message of sympathy.
"We have all been fortunate to spend time in Christchurch and have felt the warm, open-hearted and generous spirit that is core to its remarkable people," the Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex said. "No person should ever have to fear attending a sacred place of worship."
However, with Kate Middleton and Prince William's busy schedule to perform their Royal duties, there are assumptions that the Royal Knight of the Garter will miss the birth of his brother, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle's first child.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting the delivery of their first baby anytime now. The former Suits actress is reportedly due at the end of the month or the beginning of May. If that's the case, Prince William may not have the first glimpse of his new nephew or niece, although it is not yet revealed if Kate Middleton will be there.
