Suits season 9 will be the final installment for the lawyers at Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, but it is also the start of another related show which is the Pearson spin-off. Now, the good news is that both shows get their official premiere dates of the USA Network.
Suits season 9 and Pearson spin-off are both arriving on the USA Network on July 17. The final installment will air at 9 PM, and then it will be followed by the launch of the spin-off starring Gina Torres at 10 PM.
It was previously reported that Suits season 9 would be the final for the series, which consists of 10 episodes. The ninth season picks up with the Manhattan corporate law firm Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams filled with uncertainties and changes after Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) sacrificed for Harvey (Gabriel Macht), wherein he took fall with the Bar Association.
After that, Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl) left reeling due to the loss of her mentor. Harvey tried to console her and, later on, he realized he does not want to lose Donna (Sarah Rafferty) - the most important person to him.
Suits season 9 follows Harvey and Donna and how they balance their work and relationship while at the same time trying to restore the reputation of the firm, along with their other partners - Samantha, Katrina Bennett (Amanda Schull), Alex Williams (Dulé Hill), and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman).
As the ninth season progresses, the personal lives of the core characters would be further explored to set up the series' conclusion. Eventually, everyone will be forced to decide who they exactly are and what kind of lawyer they want to be.
In January, series creator Aaron Korsh - who also created Pearson spin-off - told Deadline that former Suits actress Meghan Markle would not return in season 9. The now-Duchess of Sussex left the series after the seventh season to marry Prince Harry in 2018, and they are now expecting their first child.
Meanwhile, the Pearson spin-off will focus on one of the recently disbarred NYC powerhouse lawyers, Jessica Pearson (Torres), while she adjusts to the down-and-dirty Chicago politics. Mayor Bobby Novak (Morgan Spector) appointed her as the new right hand-fixer, and she will be immediately entangled in a corrupt and dangerous new world.
In every action, there is a far-reaching consequence, and with her drive to win, Jessica has been forced to reconcile her unstoppable drive along with her desire to do the right thing. Pearson spin-off stars Chantel Riley, Isabel Arraiza, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, and Bethany Joy Lenz.
