Blue Bloods season 9 episode 21 is arriving this week and viewers can expect a lot of happenings in here. For instance, Jamie has come up with an idea for his upcoming wedding with Eddie; he wanted to get her father out of prison. But then, that's an easy thing to do, and it needed a lot of work.
In Blue Bloods season 9 episode 21, Jamie told Erin and Danny about his plan of getting Eddie's father Armin out of jail in time for their wedding. However, that's a big and risky move, especially since he doesn't want Eddie to know about his "idea." Why would he want to keep it a secret?
Perhaps, Jamie thinks this might be a sort of a big surprise for his soon-to-be wife, and it is possible he believes he is an innocent guy and needs to spend more time with his daughter. He doesn't know what's entirely under the bridge, and even though Eddie has been working on having a good relationship with her father, that might not be what she wanted during the wedding.
It's worth noting that Armin is not just someone who's been in prison, he is also known as a scam artist, and he could just be tricking Jamie to get out of prison. Also, Eddie's mother Lena is still facing abuse due to some of his actions, so he's not the easiest person to be around.

Armin's presence in the wedding ceremony might create tensions, rather than focusing on romance, vows, as well as happy stuff. In short, having him during the big day is a distraction, and Eddie wouldn't want her wedding to be a disaster, of course.
Good thing, Erin and Danny talked to Jamie and helped him back to his senses. As mentioned, he wanted to keep his plan a secret to Eddie, but the two told him that's not the right thing to do and it's not good to keep secrets to the person you wanted to spend your life with. Erin also told Jamie that it's not a smart move to start their marriage with a lie.
Meanwhile, in another part of Blue Bloods season 9 episode 21, a DNA evidence in a murder case has led Danny and Baez to identical twins, who have identical alibis as well. Frank, on the other hand, learns Nicky is interviewing for a job at the Justice Coalition.
