BLACKPINK is an all-girl Korean pop group whose members are Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo. One thing that sets them apart from the rest of Korea's famed K-pop girl groups is cohesion. Today, the Shorty Awards just brings BLACKPINK one step closer to global domination. During their Newark concert, world-renowned female pop sensation Dua Lipa joined them onstage to perform "Kiss and Make Up," one of BLACKPINK's world-famous songs.
However, the girls are no stranger to huge western concerts. They were the first South Korean group to become Coachella's headline. This event alone has cemented BLACKPINK's reputation as a world-class group parallel to successful K-Pop groups such as all-male BTS. True enough, there is no crystal ball that can tell anyone how much of a success BLACKPINK can be in the next few years. However, with a track record that catapults them from cult favorite to ultimate pop sensation from South Korea and Asia into the world, there's no telling how high can the all-girl K-pop group reach in their entire career.
