Game of Thrones Season 8 only has two episodes left before the series finale. True to the show's fashion, the twist and turn of events continuously surprise fans with unexpected deaths and big revelations. As the last war at King's Landing is about to take place, here are the three theories that may be at play in the penultimate and final installments.
Will Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) Be Like Her Father?
Just like her father, Daenerys seems to be becoming a mad queen in the final episodes of Game of Thrones Season 8, per Game Spot. The thought of Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) right to claim the throne and how people of the North sees him as the true king continuously tormenting her that put their relationship at risk.
Add to that Missandei's (Nathalie Emmanuel) beheading and Rheagal's death; her anger grows that she seems ready to burn King's Landing despite Varys (Conleth Hill) and Tyrion's (Peter Dinklage) advice. As Missandei's final word was "Dracarys," would the mother of dragons turn the mad queen and ask Drogon to cast fire at her enemies shielded by innocent lives?
Where Does Jaime's (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) Loyalty Lie?
After learning what happened to Daenerys' dragon and their fleet in King's Landing, Jaime made his way to the capital, leaving Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) behind. By the looks of it, he wanted to be with his sister, Cersei (Lena Headey), but would he defend her or be the one to kill her in Game of Thrones Season 8?
Jaime revealed the horrible things he did for the love of Cersei, insisting he is not the good guy Brienne thought he is. However, there are theories the Kingslayer only did it to protect the knight of House Tarth, so she would not follow him and die trying to protect him.
Will There Be More Dragons?
Daenerys' three dragons are believed to be the last of its kind, but a theory suggests there are more dragon eggs that the Targaryens left throughout the history. As the Khaleesi's eggs seemed to be stones at first, there is a possibility other eggs could be hatched and appear in Game of Thrones Season 8.
In fact, in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, which the show is based on, there are too many dragon eggs mentioned at different points. Targaryens used to give dragon eggs to their young princes and put them in different places, although it is not revealed what happened to those eggs.
So, would it be possible that Daenerys would find other dragons and have it attacked King's Landing? Find out on the last two episodes of Game of Thrones Season 8 that airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
