Also, the statement added that Markle's mother Doria Ragland was overjoyed about the arrival of her first grandchild. For Queen Elizabeth, it's normal for her to comment about the arrival of a new royal family member. For instance, it can be recalled that when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex first announced their pregnancy back in October 2018, the royals noted Her Majesty was delighted for the couple.
When Prince Louis was born in April 2018, Queen Elizabeth and other royal family members also shared their excitement and said there were delighted with the news. The message echoed a sentiment shared by Her Majesty following the birth of Prince George in 2013, and Princess Charlotte in 2015.
Baby Sussex was born on May 6, 2019, at around 5:26 in the morning, and reportedly weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. The news was shared in the Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, where it noted that both mother and baby are in good and healthy condition. They also thanked every member of the public for their support and shared excitement during the special day of their lives.
Markle and Prince Harry decided to keep the details private about their baby's birth, so the royal couple didn't pose for photos outside a hospital. But, the two are expected to share pictures of Baby Sussex, as well as other details such as his name in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Baby Sussex is the eight great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth, following Louis and Lena Tindall who were born in 2018, and he is reportedly seventh in line to the British throne.
