Elementary season 7 is arriving on CBS later this month, and this would be the final installment of the show. Since it is the last for the series, this is the right time to bring back some characters, and among them is Kitty Winter.
TVLine recently released a new promo of Elementary season 7 featuring a familiar character, Kitty Winter (portrayed by Ophelia Lovibond). She is back and will spend some time with Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan (Lucy Liu) in London, where both characters relocated at the end of the sixth season.
Sherlock and Joan will try to keep their investigative business going, but things wouldn't be the same compared to the previous seasons of Elementary. So, why did the series bring back Kitty in the final season? Based on the promo of Elementary season 7, her return may have something to do with informing Joan that she looks unhappy.
Also, Kitty is asking Joan to explain her hair and recognized she's trying to shake things up. So, does this mean Joan isn't enjoying her and Sherlock's gig as consultants for the Scotland Yard? That's what viewers need to find out as Elementary season 7 goes on.
But then, eventually, the characters will probably be back in the United States so that they could spend more time with their friends - while solving cases along the way. Also, Detective Bell and Gregson are still part of Elementary season 7, although it's unclear how will that happen. Showrunner Rob Doherty also told TVLine that the final season would pick up one year later.
In another report, the tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach (James Frain) is reportedly the central villain of Elementary season 7. At some point, he could be one of the most notorious adversaries of Sherlock. But just like other Big Bads such as Michael, the character might not be part of every episode. He could wreak havoc in this final season and would make the characters' lives uncomfortable.
Also, others wanted to see Natalie Dormer to reprise her role as Jamie Moriarty/Irene Adler - the character that is a central part of the Sherlock Holmes mythology. She's been expressing her return in the past, but the scheduling is reportedly an issue. Particularly, she's busy portraying her role in the Game Of Thrones, while at the same time doing other movies.
Elementary season 7 will premiere on Thursday, May 23, on the CBS.
