The long wait is over as Mr. Robot Season 4 is now just a few months away. The all-new season of the show will arrive during the winter season. But while this makes every avid fan happy and excited, the production is quite sad to share that this is already the final installment of the show.
According to the show's director and creator, Sam Esmail, Mr. Robot started in 2015 with only one conclusion in his mind. And he revealed that this conclusion is already laid in the upcoming season. Hence, the end of Mr. Robot is now inevitable.
Although everyone in the production is very much eager to continue the works of the show even after the fourth season, Sam Esmail stated that they have too much "respect for Elliot's journey" to prolong it further. So, Mr. Robot Season 4 will finally conclude everything for Elliot and Mr. Robot.
The first season of Mr. Robot premiered way back in 2015. And a year after, a new season of the show followed. With the massive success of the series, it is only suitable that they continued it for the third season which aired back in December of 2017.
In these three installments, Mr. Robot, in general, won two Golden Globes along with the other 18 awards and counting. Also, the audience's critical reception for the show has become so much more significant in recent years. Accordingly, the fans are now expecting more thrilling plots and storylines when Mr. Robot Season 4 drops on USA Network.
Lead star, Rami Malek, who plays the role of Elliot, revealed with Entertainment Tonight how he felt when he learned the ending of the show. He shared that Sam called him and Christian Slater, who plays the role of Mr. Robot, one night and told them about the finale of Mr. Robot Season 4.
Upon learning the course of the plot, he used the word "agape" to describe what he felt. And later on, he contended that the ending would be "very climactic."
With these kinds of hints and descriptions about the series finale, it only fits as to why the fandom has become so much excited and eager to watch the upcoming season.
But even so, the Bohemian Rhapsody actor further revealed that he is not yet ready to let go of the show. Moreover, he admitted that he would miss Elliot too.
So far, these are the only details shared about the upcoming season finale of the show. And certainly, the official trailers and promotional teasers will be released a few weeks before the actual premiere.
Now, Mr. Robot Season 4 is set to arrive in October of this year with a total of 12 episodes.
