Disneyland's new attraction, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, is soon to open, so excited fans can't contain themselves to see what it has to offer. As it takes almost five years to build this latest crowd-pleaser, the anticipation remains high as Disney continuously puts it on hype. So, here is what you are going to experience and see when you travel to this fictional galaxy.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge gives visitors an interactive experience with its immersive environment that makes them a part of the Star Wars world. Here, guests can see the franchise's smugglers, bounty hunters, and of course, stormtroopers wandering the area, per USA Today.
The new attraction spans 14 acres, which is Disneyland's biggest single-themed addition in history. It is set in the Black Spire Outpost, a town that flourished when the trade routes evaded its home planet Batuu. It is the outpost of the smugglers, bounty hunters, and some members of the Resistance and the First Order.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge boasts its Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride where guests can explore and experience the ship. The high-powered video game will let the riders fly, defend, and repair Han Solo's signature starship as it navigates through space. Aside from the rides, Disneyland's new attraction also has restaurants, food stands, a cantina, and shops.

Meanwhile, for the second time in over four decades, the Star Wars music legendary composer John Williams writes a new musical score for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The music theme will be different from his other scores for the movie franchise.
Variety reported Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge inspires Williams, who is a five-time Oscar winner, to write a five-minute "symphonic suite" perfectly summarizes the whole of the Black Spire Outpost, the outlaws, and rebels that visitors are about to see in the area.
According to the people who are closely associated with the making of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Williams' participation on the project underwent long planning stages. Walt Disney Imagineering music executive in charge Matt Walker told the publication that since Black Spire Outpost is not part of the movie franchise, it needs to have its score.
"One that belonged to it, but of course lived within the universe of John's writings for the films," Walker explained. Just like Williams' previous compositions for the Star Wars series, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge new score will give every visitor different feels from danger, excitement, to heroism.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be open on May 31 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The new attraction will also be duplicated at Walt Disney World with an opening date of August 29.
