In the unending court battle of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the estranged couple who thought they had found true love at first sight, now on their heels to prove that one of them is innocent and the other the victim. The $50 million lawsuits against Amber Heard has already been filed, but both parties are still trying their best to win an audience, as each of them has their group.
While Amber Heard is already a voice to the silent victims of domestic violence, Johnny Depp is also fighting to voice out his truth of the situation.
Just recently, Johnny Depp has had enough of Amber Heard's public talks of domestic violence that he finally submitted a declaration, not in his legal team's words but his own. The Pirates of the Carriblegedly has fabricated her side of the story and has then maligned his reputation because of this.
A vivid line of Johnny Depp's declaration with his own words is that Amber Heard's bruises were reportedly "painted" and has lied repeatedly so that she can be like a spokesperson. The 55-year old actor explains that the reason why he filed the lawsuit was that he wanted to "clear his name and restore his reputation."
The actor also wanted to the "abused women and men" to know that the "spokesperson" they have been listening to is all but a faux.
Back in May 2016, Amber Heard filed for a restraining order against Johnny Depp and showed a bruise. However, Depp was able to counter her accusations by presenting witnesses and actual footages that prove she didn't have it each day of the preceding week.
The Edward Scissorhands star declared that "he did not abuse Heard or any other woman."
In addition to that, Johnny Depp describes Amber Heard's statements as lies that are "internally inconsistent, shifting, and contradicted by overwhelming testimonial, photographic, audio, video, and other evidence." Looking back at the actress who wrote in a Washington Post op-ed from December of last year, that she "became a public figure representing domestic abuse."
However, her ex-husband's name was not at all mentioned, even though it was very obvious what she was referring to.
Depp and Heard married in 2015, but by 2016, Heard had taken out a restraining order against her husband, alleging verbal and physical abuse. But on the actor's in-depth explanation, the Aquaman actress was the "perpetrator," and he was the victim as he revealed how she was mixing prescription amphetamines and non-prescription drugs with alcohol and after would commit "innumerable acts of domestic violence" against him.
These were allegedly done often in the presence of third-party witnesses meaning that he has several witnesses who can testify.
