Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice, was caught between two of her friends and co-stars, in a catfight that happened on her birthday celebration.
For the filming of the 10th season of the show, the women of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast are reportedly stirring up as much drama as is the usual for them.
Jennifer Aydin, 42, and Melissa Gorga, 40, got into a big fight which has put Giudice in an awkward and tense position-in the middle of their squabble.
It was reported that Giudice wanted to celebrate her 47th birthday with her friends, which included the whole cast of the show. The group found itself in the Hamptons for the celebration.
During a lunch in Westhampton, at a place called Margarita Grille, a fight ensued between Aydin and Gorga while they were filming, a source revealed. What was at first a tense conversation had escalated quickly into the women shouting aggressively at each other. It got to a point where the women had to be held back by other people in the cast to break up their fight and keep them apart.
The fight was very public and heated. A lot of people were wondering what was going on and were getting a bit worried from the aggressive body language, not to mention the relentless screaming of the two. However, no one knew what the fight was really about and who started attacking who.
The show's production team admitted that it was really stressful---bordering on unprofessional---for them to have blown up that way. At this point, the trip was eventually cut short.
It can only be imagined how increasingly pressured as well as confused Giudice is as to who she should side with or at least be sympathetic with, the source says. After all, Gorga is her sister-in-law, but Aydin is also one of her closest friends.
It is notable that fans and viewers of the series are often on Gorga's case because she's usually turns on Giudice and sides with the latter's enemies when an issue comes up.
However, insiders report that Giudice refuses to take any sides. She just hopes that the two women get a chance to talk it out in a sensible and mature way, and settle whatever disagreements and hard feelings are existing between them.
Furthermore, the source says that filming might be stalled for now, in order to give both women a breather and a chance to compose themselves, and calm down after the heated argument.
As of March 6, 2019, there have been 18 episodes from the ninth season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey which have aired. Filming for season 10 is underway, with an interruption from the incident reported above, but will air on Bravo TV in the later months of this year.
