Applications for Race Across The World season 2 are now open. The series follows five pairs who are from the United Kingdom, and they need to travel in another part of the world. But there is a twist here, they'll be traveling without taking a single plane, and they wouldn't have their smartphones with them as well. If you are interested, here's how you can apply for the second season.

As mentioned, the application process for Race Across The World season 2 is now open. Those who are interested in joining the series need to fill out an application form online via the website of the production company - Studio Lambert.

In the application, you should tell more about yourself and your travel, and you need to be at least 18-years-old or above to apply. Also, anyone who wants to join the series must be a British national or have the rights to live in the United Kingdom.

The application process also requires you to upload a video - at least 60 seconds long - and explain why you and your partner wanted to join the show alongside pictures. If you are interested, applications are open until Monday, July 1, 2019.

Right now, there were only a few details about Race Across The World season 2. The show premiered in March 2019 on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two, and if ever, the second installment might be back in early 2020. The first season has six episodes, so it is expected that season 2 will have the same number of episodes as well.

BBC hasn't also confirmed when the filming of the show starts. Also, it remains unclear where season 2 participants will have to travel to next.

Race Around The World follows five pairs who are racing against each other and travel to another part of the world. But then, they weren't allowed to take a single plane and also use their phones or credit cards. They will only have £1,300 for them to spend and budget.

In the first season, the travelers raced from London to Singapore for more than 50 days. The first pair who will make it to their destination will win £20,000. The winners of season 1 were the 62-years-old PE Teachers Tony and Elaine Teasdale.

Scottish actor John Hannah narrated the Race Around The World; he is best known for The Victim, Trust Me, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
