Her yet-unnamed seventh album or also known as the TS7 was filled with lots of controversies and reports. Although Taylor's hints and clues are the reasons behind these matters, it is not that difficult to notice that ME! has been smashing a lot of records and achievements these days.
As you may know, Taylor Swift is a huge fan of puzzles, clues, and hints to which she referred to as her "Easter eggs." There were reports recently that scrutinize her love for these games since it somehow ruins the point of her upcoming album. Although it was not able to beat Lil Nas X's Old Town Road at the Hot 100 Chart, Taylor Swift's latest single was still able to acquire other achievements. As of the time being, there are now three major accomplishments that ME! was able to obtain.
Primarily, ME! has become Taylor's best selling track in 2019 ever since her Reputation's Look What You Made Me Do. Looking at the debut frame of her new single, her collaboration with Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie sold about 193,000 copies. And this is just during the initial release of the track. Certainly, these figures will rise more as time passes by.
Secondly, ME! became Taylor Swift's sixteenth track that reached the top of the charts. Accordingly, she became the artist who has the most number 1 hits on the chart. And for any artist in the industry, this is truly monumental.
And thirdly, this latest track from Taylor is deemed to be the only track who had the largest jump in the history of Hot 100. If you would recall, ME! came in the 100th place when it was first released. But just after a few hours, it jumped from its 100th place to the second position which is pretty impressive for any artist in the industry today.
