The chips recently spotted at the Geekbench has a clock speed of 3.2 GHz in its base and 4.0 GHz in its turbo. If you are one of those who subscribes to the latest leaks and speculations on the Ryzen 3000 series, the specs 6 core 12 threads 3.2 to 4.0 GHz speed sounds really familiar. It should be familiar since it is the same specs of the leaks reported six months ago. This will be the cheapest CPU series and the latest entry-level series that will be available at just $99. Moreover, according to speculations, this particular CPU series will be a lot faster than the AM4 flagship, which is the Ryzen 7 2700 X series.
In terms of performance based on the recently spotted specs and on the score at Geekbench 4, the AMD Zen 2 Ryzen will dethrone its current entry-level flagship. The Ryzen 3 3000 has a single core score of 5061 and a 25481 multi-core score. On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 2700X has a single core score of 4923 and 25209 multi-core score. What does this mean?
This could mean that the AMD Zen Ryzen 6 core 12 thread with a turbo clock speed could outperform the present 8 core flagship product of AMD. But, it is important to note that this score does not necessarily mean that it is going to best the Ryzen 2700X in every aspect. This implies several nagging questions like if this is the new low-end or entry-level product of AMD, what more are its high-end products? But, if the latest series of leaks are to be our basis, the high-end products would be pretty crazy when it comes to performance. It is, however, a great indication of the progress and advancement that our generation was able to achieve.
