In October 2016 Bandai Namco Entertainment released "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" in North America and Europe playable on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. PlayStation 4 players in Japan were able to access the popular fighting RPG title in November 2016. In 2017, Bandai Namco released the title in Nintendo Switch.

The third downloadable content Extra Pack of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" was released in August 2018. The fourth DLC was released in December 2018 and featured Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Gogeta along with Super Saiyan Full Power Broly. While many fans are happy of the upcoming downloadable content, there are some who are disappointed because they are expecting that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3" should be in by now. Instead, Bandai Namco Entertainment continuously update the old title to make it relevant.
