After toppling the reign of "Avengers: Endgame" in the box office after weeks on top, Keanu Reeves has cemented his standing as a modern-day action hero via his latest film, John Wick: Parabellum."

Lionsgate has also confirmed that "John Wick 3: Parabellum" will not be the end of the road for Baba Yaga or the Boogeyman.

In a report by Variety, it was confirmed that John Wick would come out with a fresh installment of the franchise with a May 21, 2021 release date.

In Parabellum, John Wick found himself the target of every assassin in the world with a $14 million bounty on his head after killing the double-crossing Santino D'Antonio on the consecrated grounds of The Continental. As an ex-communicado, those who helped John Wick in his crusade against D'Antonio and the High Table were similarly punished including the Bowery King (Lawrence Fishbourne) and Continental manager Winston (Ian McShane). However, by the movie's end, it was still unclear how these two characters will fuel John's new mission against the organization.

The announcement from Lionsgate came via a tweet which read: "You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming - May 21, 2021," which was a reference to the assassins vow taken before the High Table to pledge allegiance to the powerful group.

While Lionsgate has not confirmed the plot for the next installment of the action franchise, there are some potential leads that "John Wick: Parabellum" successfully laid out for the continuation of the franchise.

In the movie, John's real name was revealed to be Jardani Jovonovich, whose connection to a mysterious group is yet to be explored. It was implied too that the daughter of Halle Berry's character Sophia was entrusted to the group led by The Director (Anjelica Huston).

Another lead from "John Wick: Parabellum" would be the Adjudicator, played by actress Asia Kate Dillon. After fulfilling her mission, the character restored the Continental as consecrated grounds as well as restored Winston's good standing with the High Table.

However, with The Bowery King out for blood against her and the High Table which she serves, "John Wick 4" could spell an all-out war between the assassins and the Bowery people.

Continuing the franchise for a few more installments seems like its not a problem for its lead star Keanu Reeves since he already stated in a GQ interview that he is willing to take on the role for "as far as his legs can take him" and "as far as the audience wants to go."
