Game of Thrones centered to the story of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms and who would win the seat at the end of the story. Now that Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is named as the new King and it ended with the Stark kids going on their ways, little is known about Westeros' history.

As the announced prequel is said to explore 5,000 years before the War of the Five Kings occurs, here are the three questions about the past that the new series may answer.

Game of Thrones had built up the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) as the most threatening villain in the Seven Kingdoms. Opposing realms even come together to bring down the undefeatable villain and his White Walkers army.

As the HBO series only gave a glimpse of the Night King's backstory through Bran, the Game of Thrones prequel may explore his story. There are several reports that say the new sequel will be tentatively titled The Long Night that will tell the origins of the White the Walkers and its leader, per Screen Rant.

A lot of fans had theorized the biggest reveal about Jon Snow's (Kit Harington). As viewers knew he was Rhaegar and Lyanna's son, Game of Thrones didn't deeply delve into their love story.

So in Game of Thrones prequel, fans may get to know more about Rhaegar and Lyanna's relationship. Rhaegar is the Mad King's son and Elia Martell's husband, so there are questions of how he ends up with Lyanna.

Lastly, a lot of fans were intrigued when Arya (Maisie Williams) said she would explore the west of Westeros. As the said place is unknown and HBO president of programming Casey Bloys shut down the idea of a spinoff about Arya's new journey, the Game of Thrones prequel may reveal what can be seen in the unknown land.

All of the maps drawn in the Game of Thrones universe, including George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series, only feature the east of Westeros. So, the west of Westeros remains to be a big mystery that may be explored in the new series.

Meanwhile, talking about Game of Thrones prequel, Emilia Clarke told The New Yorker it might be too soon for HBO to work on a new spinoff series. "I think that maybe let it be for a minute, before getting on that so quickly," she said.

Clarke, who plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen, believed HBO should have "lie for a minute before doing anything else" after Season 8 finale. However, although Game of Thrones prequel is now in the works, Bloys earlier hinted the new show could come a little late, which fans predicted to be in 2021.
