Fans will no longer see Maya Travis (Robin Tunney) and Matthew Collier (Adam Rayner) on the small screens as ABC canceled The Fix Season 2. The network doesn't reveal the reason behind the cancellation, but there are theories it may have something to do with its low ratings.

According to TVLine, The Fix premiered on March 18 with "pretty weak" ratings. The first episode got 4.4 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating. The publication's readers, on the other hand, gave it an average "B" grade.

Although some episodes went well, the show had a hard time to lift itself among viewers and the 18-49 demographics. The whole season only got an average of 0.49 rating in the 18-49 demographics and 3.20 million viewers.

Its season finale, on the other hand, got 2.9 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating. Out of ABC's 21 scripted television show for the 2018-19 season, the show was stuck on the 20th place in the demo and the 15th place in total viewership. Hence, it might be the reason ABC canceled The Fix Season 2.

Co-written and executive-produced by the lawyer and O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, the show featured the story of Maya, a Los Angeles DA who was devastatingly defeated when she prosecuted the A-list actor Sevvy Johnson's (Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje) double murder case for allegedly killing his wife and a friend. As her high-profile career went down, she moved to Washington to have a more serene life.

But after eight years, Johnson faced another murder case for the suspicions of killing her girlfriend. Maya then went back to the DA's office to redeem herself and receive the justice that she felt they didn't get right.

The legal drama anthology stars Tunney as Maya, Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Sevvy, Rayner as Matthew, Scott Cohen as Ezra Wolf, Merrin Dungey as CJ Emerson, Breckin Meyer as Alan Wiest, Marc Blucas as Riv Allgood, Mouzam Makkar as Loni Kampoor, and Alex Saxon as Gabriel Johnson. Unfortunately, fans are not going to see these stars reprising their roles for The Fix Season 2 after ABC's cancellation.

The Season 1 finale aired on May 20, giving the show a proper ending by solving all the mysteries surrounding Sevvy's case. However, although the show ended with a complete narrative, its creators said it was never meant to be a mini-series, per TV Series FinaleThey even said that if ABC order for The Fix Season 2, some of its original cast members would have returned to work on a new case.

Would it be possible for The Fix Season 2 to have a new home? Fans have to wait and see if the show would continue on another network or any streaming services.
