Adult Swim already announced the coming of Rick and Morty Season 4, and it might feature a familiar scene by killing a lot of characters ala Game of Thrones. There are reports the new season would reveal major deaths that would include a beloved character and the return of parasites from Season 2.
In the 31-episode run of Rick and Morty, there were over 260 deaths in every episode. It even outnumbered the deaths in The Walking Dead, which only had 23 casualties per episode.
As the adult animated series only killed side characters, in Rick and Morty Season 4, there would be major deaths that would surprise the fans. Someone close to Rick and Morty is going to meet its demise, and it could be Beth Smith.
However, there are theories Beth may be resurrected at the end of the season, so everything will be back to normal. Also, Rick and Morty Season 4 may also feature Rick taking down his enemies.
Adult Swim already revealed when Rick and Morty Season 4 would also feature the return of familiar characters. In a cryptic video posted on the network's official YouTube account, titled Rick and Morty: Pixelated, it revealed strange scenes in pixilated settings.
The clip gives a nod to classic video games like Metal Slug. Here, Rick and Morty are seen working with different side characters, running through various levels and shooting the enemies.
Although the video, made by Paul Robertson, seems to showcase the show's talented artists, Express.co.uk reported it seems to be a hint that Rick and Morty Season 4 might feature the return of parasites from Season 2 Episode 4, "'Total Rickall." The characters featured in the clip are all from the said episode that introduced a huge number of alien parasites that took over Rick's home that they considered as "friendly cartoon characters."
Some of the characters that are seen in the clip are Photography Raptor, Sleepy Gary, Ghost in a Jar, and Duck with Muscles, among others. Hence, there are suspicions they will make their way to Rick and Morty Season 4, which may delve into the alien parasite storyline once more.
If it happens, Rick and Morty may go head-to-head again against an entire community of alien parasites that threatens to take over the Earth. Meanwhile, in a different post on the Twitter account, the dynamic duo revealed when Rick and Morty Season 4 would be out in a hilarious stint.
"I don't wanna make the announcement," Morty said. "Okay I'll do it: Everybody Rick and Morty is back - brand new season four, November 2019," Rick replied. Hence, Rick and Morty Season 4 will be out in November on Adult Swim.
