The end is about to come in Chernobyl Episode 5 as Valery Legasov (Jared Harris), Boris Shcherbina (Stellan Skarsgård), and Ulana Khomyuk (Emily Watson) are about to tell the truth in the trial. The three are willing to risk their lives to save the people of Pripyat and nearby areas by exposing the truth behind the lies.

"Valery, Boris, and Ulana risk their lives and reputations to expose the truth about Chernobyl," Chernobyl Episode 5 official synopsis read. Valery has been doing his best to control the radiation rate that will be hazardous not just to the people of Pripyat but to other countries near Ukraine as well.

The city is getting more and more contaminated every minute, but the powerful people behind the nuclear power plant and the government as well are still trying to hide the truth about it. Ulana, on the other hand, is working to know what happened on that fateful night of April 26, 1986. She is also doing her best to get into the root of the cause that resulted in the world's worst nuclear disaster.

HBO has dropped the official trailer for Chernobyl Episode 5 and teases how intense the final episode would be. Here, Valery, Boris, and Ulana attend the trial that will hear the cause of the catastrophic nuclear accident.

"The decision of the court is now open, the state calls come to read," a background voice can be heard saying. The scene then focuses on Ulana, Valery, and Boris. Ulana then takes a stand and asks someone if it understands what happened the night that the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded.

The scene then pans to the time before the power plant disaster happened. In the next sequence, Ulana tells someone again to tell the truth, while Valery receives a warning that once his "show" doesn't prove there is a "villain" behind the explosion, he will be out of the case.

"We will have our truth," it says. Boris then takes the lead and reveals the explosion begins with a "safety test." The next scene shows Ulana telling Valery that people died rescuing each other, putting out fires, and tending to the wounded.

So when the time comes that he will deliver his testimony, Ulana asks Valery to demand reform. However, Valery questions Ulana's request by saying, "I've already given my life, isn't that enough?" Chernobyl Episode 5, "Vichnaya Pamyat," will be out on Monday, June 3, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
