Not surprisingly, AMC is eager to get fans excited for the return of the highly anticipated show. The network has released a clip from the premiere episode, which reveals Morgan Jones and Alicia Clark have to deal with a serious new problem. Can they survive and rejoin their group in 'Here To Help'?
Last year's season finale of the AMC series concluded with the death of the antagonistic Martha and most people being poisoned by antifreeze. However, it still ended on a hopeful note as the group decides not to head for Alexandria but create a network that will help lost people at the denim factory. Unfortunately, their plan might not be turning out too well for everyone. The clip from Fear The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 1 puts Morgan and Alicia back in trouble.
The Fear The Walking Dead Season 5 sneak peek is titled 'We Will Make It,' and it opens with a bloody Alicia asking Morgan how far they are from the truck stop. He tells her they are about 10 to 15 miles from "the touchdown site." Alicia ponders on the information and comes up with a distressing realization. "We're not gonna make it," she says.
However, Morgan isn't having any of that negative attitude. "No, we will make it," he tells her. Alicia finds more strength despite her bloodied hand and takes down an approaching walker.
In the meantime, Morgan's radio comes alive as Logan calls for him, asking where they are. Although he answers, it doesn't seem like Logan is receiving his response. Morgan sends a message telling Logan that they are coming, but they could take longer than they had initially expected. There are more walkers coming towards them, and it's clear that he and Alicia will be busy for a while.
Morgan finally calls Alicia to him, telling her that they need to "buy them some more time." Together, they run away from the walkers.
It is unclear where Morgan and Alicia are, and their current goal is even vaguer. However, it looks like the group is on the move again, and it is possible that they are trying to cause a distraction. Has the group come across some new people to help? The truth will be revealed this Sunday.
