A body language expert claims that Queen Elizabeth II sees Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle differently. Here's how Her Majesty regards her granddaughters-in-law.

According to body language expert Judi James, Queen Elizabeth sees the Duchess of Cambridge as a "friend," while she sees the Duchess of Sussex as a "younger royal." Also, Prince William's wife reportedly has some obvious similarities with the Queen.

James said that Middleton was always "slow but steady integrator" into the royal firm and her "slightly traditional approach" makes her more similar to the monarch. Queen Elizabeth appears to be treating the Duchess of Cambridge as her friend.

The body language expert also claims that Prince William's wife is an adept masker who usually uses body language techniques to hide her inner feelings - just like Her Majesty. The two royals were said to have been perfected a social smile and non-verbal traits which are ideal for their job, and they don't encourage frenzied interest from the public.

James added that the monarch and Middleton look "perfect pitch" and it's safe to say they are somehow similar in private. The body language expert also claimed that the two royals enjoyed seeing one another.

Also, while they were at the Chelsea Flower Show a few weeks ago, Queen Elizabeth supported Prince William's wife and showed genuine joy when she went to the garden display. At the mentioned event, royal fans were also shocked as the Duchess of Cambridge kissed Her Majesty - which is reportedly a breach of royal protocol.

On the other note, Markle's relationship with the monarch is new, and they were in "forming stage." The body language expert said Her Majesty treats Prince Harry's wife differently than Middleton as the former Suits actress became part of the royal family just recently.

James noted that even tough Middleton and Markle are the same age, the newness of the latter's integration into the royal firm only means that the monarch seemed to be treating her as a "younger royal." Particularly, when the two go to a visit together, the Duchess of Sussex usually responded in a "complementary, congruent way."

But while Queen Elizabeth possibly sees Markle as a younger royal, the two ladies are getting along very well. For instance, some photos from their previous events showed that Duchess of Sussex's "hand over her mouth gesture" looks like she's whispering to the monarch, which is said to be an intimate gesture and implies the two have already created a strong bond.
