Fans may once again hear ABBA's greatest music on the big screen with Mamma Mia 3. Lily James, who plays Young Donna's role in 2018's Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, ignited new movie rumors in a couple of posts on Instagram.
James shared a photo of herself on the island of Vis in Croatia, where Mamma Mia 2 was filmed. "I'm going in," she captioned the snap.
In other posts, Digital Spy reported James also shared pictures of herself running across the sandy beaches while enjoying being soaked in the sun. "On my way back to Vis," she said while playing Cher's rendition of ABBA's "Fernando," which fuelled the rumors of Mamma Mia 3. She captioned her other snaps with "Vis diary" and "heaven."

James' Instagram story, on the other hand, was filled with classic ABBA songs, which made the rumors about Mamma Mia 3 stronger. The 30-year-old star is not the only one who seems to tease working on a new installment for the franchise.
Stellan Skarsgård, who portrays as Bill/Kurt, in the series, revealed he would be definitely up to make Mamma Mia 3, but with one condition. The Chernobyl star wanted his character to be still alive.
There might be a major time jump of 10 years between Mamma Mia 2 and Mamma Mia 3, so Skarsgård believed he would probably be in an urn in the new movie. However, if he ever receives a call, he would surely come.
However, Skarsgård is quite worried that people behind the film might not have materials like enough and right songs to do Mamma Mia 3. "Can they come up with a story which doesn't have to be that plausible, but plausible enough?" he asked. But whatever happens, he assured he would be there to do the film.
Although Universal Pictures has yet to confirm if there will be Mamma Mia 3, James already has an idea what the follow-up movie will be like. She told RadioTimes it could bear the title Mamma Mia! The DNA Test, so they would finally find out who is Sophie's (Amanda Seyfried) dad.
James has yet to address the rumors about her post and the possible coming of Mamma Mia 3. But with the success of the two first films, it will be no surprise that a third movie will be in the works.
Christine Baranski, who plays Tanya's character, even said she is willing to return to Mamma Mia 3, as the film is "so much fun to do." Fans should have to wait and see for an official announcement if there will be a new installment in the making.
