People are still waiting for an official announcement for Steven Universe Season 6, but that hasn't stopped fans from wondering what will happen in the next season of the animated series. Although there is little doubt that the show will continue to follow Steven's story, there are speculations that Jasper and her possible redemption could be the main focus in the sixth season. Additionally, the relationship between Lapis Lazuli and Peridot could finally be explored.
It's no secret that Jasper is one of the most intriguing characters in Steven Universe. When she was first introduced in the first season finale, Jasper is shown as a powerful warrior with a distinct dislike for Earth as well as Rose Quartz. Throughout the series, Jasper has proven to be an effective antagonist although she was ultimately neutralized in the fifth season finale 'Change Your Mind.' But what are the chances that Jasper is set for redemption in Season 6?
There are speculations that Steven Universe Season 6 will be mostly about Jasper. After all, she now has a bond with Amethyst and appears to be well on her way to redemption. Additionally, creator Rebecca Sugar is fond of the character and has previously teased on Jasper's redemption arc. It wouldn't be a surprise if the sixth season will focus on turning Jasper into one of the good guys for a change.
But what exactly will happen to Jasper in Season 6? There's always the possibility that she would need to deal with the truth about Rose Quartz being Pink Diamond. In addition to that, Jasper might find herself having to work with the Crystal Gems if the need arises. Putting the focus on Jasper could mean that the next season of Steven Universe will be as unpredictable as the character.
Jasper isn't the only one who could get a significant character arc in the sixth season. There is also the possibility that Lapis could finally reconnect with Peridot and perhaps get a strong storyline of her own in Steven Universe Season 6. Lapis' return could tie in with Jasper's story and finally put the focus on a flawed yet interesting character.
