The InBetween episode 2 is set to arrive next week, and following its recent premiere, the series is now building on everything that viewers saw. The show comes with a constant sort of creepiness, yet there are only a few details as to how Cassie's power works. For now, here's what to expect in the upcoming episode, titled "Made of Stone."
Based on the synopsis of The InBetween episode 2, Damien and Tom enlist Cassie's help after a mother and her young son mysteriously vanish. The suspicion was turned to the husband of the woman, and then Cassie's visions uncovered a darker and more vengeful plot. Ed Roven, on the other hand, comes back with an offer for Cassie.
The next week's episode case is interesting, especially because it's unclear whether the mother and the young son were dead or just lost. But then, it's also unknown what are the rules when it comes to Cassie's power, and this could be a good opportunity to unravel so that viewers would understand the world she's living in.
However, as The InBetween episode 2 synopsis implies, it wouldn't focus that much on how she got her power. Also, the series is only on its second episode so viewers shouldn't expect too much for now, though for sure, the show prepares other things worth exploring throughout the entire season.
The program also focuses on the events happening in the present time, rather than telling the origin story of a superhero. But, it's still nice to see that this episode would at least give a thing or two about the long-term story of The InBetween season 1.
So far, the show isn't giving too much detail on how it will be in the future. But, some think that The InBetween has the potential and capacity in delivering great twists and turns. The freshman series could still create a world where viewers would stick around for some time.
Right now, the details are plot-centric, like Damien coming on board as the new partner of Tom. The question now is how long he could stand his current position, particularly being in a world he doesn't quite understand. The situation might be hard for him navigating and understanding all the supernatural stuff while acting normal at the same time.
The InBetween episode 2 will air on Wednesday, June 5, on NBC.
