When Dark first premiered on Netflix, many series lovers immediately picked up the show. And based on the general reception, it appears that every single viewer of the series sees it as a great alternative to the prominent Netflix Original, Stranger Things.

But while many have compared the show with Stranger Things, the German-speaking series garnered its audience in a very short period. And being the first web series that comes in a non-English language, it increases interest and curiosity in totality.

The pilot season of Dark premiered in December of 2017. And having only a total of 10 episodes, the show has become an easy material to binge watch for the whole day. So, many are very much eager to learn about its succeeding installments.

Fortunately for the fandom of the show, Dark has been renewed for a second season. And recently, it has been revealed that the premiere date is already set on June 21, 2019, which is now just a few days away.

The official trailer of the new season is also already dropped. And it seems that the plot of the second season will pick up where it last left off.

If you would recall, the pilot season finale is filled with several cliffhangers and loose ends. Many of the fans are still wondering as to what happened to everyone in the plot considering that newer timelines are now opened. Accordingly, theories and speculations have become so much more apparent after the first season finale. But, of course, these theories will always remain as mere speculations unless the second season drops on Netflix.

Just like the first season, the second installment will consist of a total of 10 episodes. And to make things much more interesting, the showrunner and creator of Dark, Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, recently revealed that the series is now renewed as well for the third season.

This is great news for the fans. However, the third season will serve as the concluding installment for the show. As it happens, the German thriller series is created to run for three seasons. So, when the show returns for Season 2, it will undoubtedly start to wrap things up for everyone in the plot.

And when Dark Season 3 arrives, the series finale will then finally conclude the thrilling and dark time-traveling plot of the show.

There is no news yet about the details of the third season. But it has been already hinted that it will premiere a year after the second season airs.
