It's been a long while since Robert Pattinson was seen doing a dashing lead role, without the fangs this time. But his beautiful face will most likely be masked by the iconic suit of Batman. Hopefully, his stunning blue-green eyes can still be seen.
As the news became official, his fans were reignited as this popular Twilight star will soon fight some street crimes, and not the usual wolves or his fellow blood-drinking clan.
Casting for the next lead role of Batman has been scrutinizing, as it should live by the looks and built of former actors like Ben Affleck, George Clooney or Michael Keaton. Since May 16, it was already reported that Robert Pattinson is being shortlisted for the Caped Crusader role.
However, another potential star by the name of Nicholas Hoult can still grab the place. Hoult, who has played Beast across four X-men movies since X-men: First Class has yet to wear the crucial bat suit together with Pattinson to know their fate.
And finally, Warner Bros. gets to choose Robert Pattinson, as it already closed the deal with the Twilight star. The highly anticipated movie is set to be released on June 25, 2021, two years from now, as the deal was finally sealed last Friday, as per the studio itself. Matt Reeves will replace Ben Affleck as the main director, while Ben Affleck maintains his place as one of the producers of the film together with Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark and Geoff Johns.
The two previous Batman films, 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and 2017's "Justice League" was not able to surpass the expectations of Warner Bros. to compete with Marvel Studios' extreme popularity. It was reportedly due to the underlying personal problems of Ben Affleck that eventually led him to give up the entire directorial job to Matt Reeves in 2017.
Meanwhile, Reeves is more popular with his works in Planet of the Apes sequel which he did the last two film with Dylan Clark.
Robert Pattinson has been busy doing a Netflix film, The King and his films The Lighthouse and High Life was released for the Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film festival, respectively. The Twilight saga from 2008-2012 was the biggest and most successful of all his films, as he was introduced as the vampire Edward Cullen opposite Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan.
This time, Robert Pattinson will reportedly be faced with multiple villains appearing like Penguin, Riddler, and possibly Catwoman, while additional characters including Commissioner Gordon, Alfred, and a potential Robin will still add up to the list of casts to be announced soon.
