Avid followers of Lee Min Ho celebrated when he was, finally, discharged from his military enlistment in April 2019. The former lover of Suzy Bae served as a public service officer for two years. Now, fans are excited to witness Min Ho's comeback in the small screens.

Before he started his service in the military, Lee Min Ho starred with Jun Ji Hyun in the 2016 hit drama series titled Legend of the Blue Sea. It centered on the story of a mermaid who traveled across the ocean to find a con artist. After two years from being away from the spotlight, the 31-year-old is confirmed to take another role for an upcoming new television series.

Hwa&Dam Pictures revealed that Lee Min Ho will be reunited with Kim Eun Sook, who is the screenwriter of the 2013 hit series titled The Heirs. Reports have it that the imminent show has a working title of The King: The Eternal Monarch. The ex-beau of Suzy Bae would take the role of Korean emperor Lee Gon, who holds the entrance to the portal to another world.

Reports have it that fans could expect a much-matured Lee Min Ho in the forthcoming The King: The Eternal Monarch series. Aside from Min Ho, Kim Go Eun and Woo Do Hwan would also be a part of the imminent television series.  Go Eun would portray as the detective Jung Tae Eul and her criminal lookalike criminal Luna.  

Do Hwan, on the other hand, would portray as Jo Eun Seob, who is an ordinary public service officer in the modern day. In the other world, he would play the as Jo Young, who is the bodyguard of Lee Min Ho's character. The King: The Eternal Monarch series is expected to premiere in 2020.

Meanwhile, before the official start of the filming process, Lee Min Ho is enjoying his free time traveling. Based on his posts on Instagram, the Legend of the Blue Sea actor flew to Spain and visited Santiago de Compostela. Other photos even featured the actor enjoying time in the beach.

Min Ho rose to fame after portraying as Goo Joong Pyo in the popular South Korean drama series titled Boys over Flowers, which helped him nab the Best New Actor award during the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. He, also, appeared in other successful shows such as The Heirs (2013), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), Faith (2012), City Hunter (2011), and Personal Taste (2010).
