Unfortunately, it seems like there could be some major trouble standing between the Voice judges and a walk down the aisle. Is it possible that Stefani's own ex Gavin Rossdale is trying to prevent her from tying the knot with Shelton?
There is little doubt that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still going strong and some people believe that their secret has a lot to do with the effort they put into their relationship. The 42-year-old country star has reportedly gone out of his way to connect with Stefani's three sons Apollo, Kingston, and Zuma. Shelton's commitment to being there for the kids possibly made him a better partner for the No Doubt singer. However, it might also be the reason why Gavin Rossdale is turning into a problem for the couple.
A source has reportedly revealed that the Bush frontman has some issues with Blake Shelton spending too much time with his sons with Gwen Stefani. According to the source, Gavin Rossdale finds it "challenging" that he has to "watch his boys grow closer and more attached" to the country singer.
"As Gwen's relationship with Blake continues to grow stronger, Gavin struggles with how much quality time Blake spends with his sons, time that Gavin sometimes feels should be time that he is bonding with his own sons," the source said. However, this doesn't mean that Rossdale doesn't approve of Shelton as a partner for his ex-wife.
"Gavin appreciates that Blake is a great guy and he knows how much the boys enjoy fishing and doing country things with Blake, things that Gavin would not or could not do with them, so Gavin understands," the source said. "However, Gavin reminds the boys that he will always be their real father because he fears any hurt the boys may endure should Gwen or Blake decide to split one day."
While Gavin Rossdale seems to have a valid reason to worry about his children, it is highly unlikely that he would try to sabotage Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's wedding plans. Hopefully, Rossdale will still get to spend plenty of time with the kids when the Voice judges finally decide to tie the knot sometime in the future.
