Brad Pitt has reportedly been spending a lot of quality time with the six children he shares with his ex, Angelina Jolie.
Maddox, 17 years old, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10, will be shuttling back and forth between their father's home in Los Angeles and their mother's shooting site in New Mexico for the next few months.
Pitt initially had a fully booked and busy schedule for the summer as he was supposed to be acting on the set for World War Z. However, it has been reported that the whole project has been put on hold for the time being, due to some obstacles met with the film's overall budget.
With that project out of the way, Pitt now has a lot of free time on his hands, and he intends to use it well. The Golden Globe awardee plans to use all that time to bond with his children and make up for the lost time.
Before their stay with their father, the kids had been staying with Jolie for a couple of months now while she was filming her upcoming movie entitled Those Who Wish Me Dead in New Mexico. Insiders state that Jolie spoils her band of kids a lot and makes sure they are having fun and maintain their good health while juggling the demands of being a full-time actress.
Sources reveal that Pitt and the kids enjoy time spent together in the actor's private home near Hollywood and away from any prying eyes. Pitt says he very much has grown into his new role as a single father to the half a dozen kids he shares with the Maleficent actress.
He talks about how much the kids love it when they just stay in and have movie marathons together. Pitt loves to cook their meals himself and talks to them often and gives out a lot of fatherly advice to his older teens. He also encourages them to find their hobbies and passions, all the while supporting them while they pursue it.
After the bitter split-up between the two Hollywood stars in September 2016, maintaining an amicable relationship became a major problem. It was a struggle to be civil with each other, and a lot of drama over who would be granted custody of their children just added to the fire of the issue.
Moreover, in the summer of 2018, Jolie had been doing everything in her power to keep her children as far away from Pitt as possible and was not permitting him to make any visits or attempts to see their children. She only loosened her grips on the reins after the judge that led their case had firmly told the actress that she would lose primary custody if she continued to prohibit communication between the children and her ex.
As it is, the pair have come a long way from where they were a year ago. The pair have now been pronounced legally single, even though their divorce is yet to be finalized. And both have fallen into step and have established a good rhythm with their co-parenting strategies. Sources close to Pitt assert that all parties are happy and satisfied with the current arrangement of things.
