Melania Trump channeled Jackie Kennedy on her flight home to the White House Friday with her husband, President Donald Trump. Her sojourn in the United Kingdom with the President had ended after a four-day string of engagements and visits.

The First Lady wore something reminiscent of the former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy as she went through Shannon Airport in Ireland. She was getting ready to leave for Washington. As usual, she looked smart in the trench coat she had donned, a Burberry creation in beige.

She had on a pair of black, very-high-heeled shoes, expectedly from her favorite brand of shoe wear, Christian Louboutin. She had also donned some large and dark sunglasses, a signature look that recently brought her under fire during the D-Day commemoration, where she was criticized for keeping her eye wear on, as the remembrance of heroes was ongoing.

But what clinched her look and made observers associate her with Mrs. Kennedy was the Hermes scarf she wore on her head. Social media was abuzz with talk on how Melania reminded many of the wife of the past president, John F. Kennedy, who had also been regarded as an international icon of style in her time.

Twitter users then came out with snapshots of Mrs. Kennedy from the past where she had been caught wearing a scarf at certain instances, not to mention large sunglasses as well. One tweet counted Melania among the "most beautiful" of first ladies to have graced the White House, "just like" the late "Jackie O."

Still, others were quick to suggest that Melania was only channeling Queen Elizabeth, who is quite fond too of donning head scarves. Yet another explanation was offered for the FLOTUS' newly imbibed style, where it was suggested that she simply could have been having a bad hair day and did not want to deal with it.

The First Lady of the United States did not lack for fashion inspiration during the whole length of her stay in the U.K. In fact, her style of dress for the span of the visit there with President Trump had been closely followed.

But the stir that she caused for the wardrobe and style she wore while in Europe did not end at Shannon Airport. While she is known for favoring timeless Louboutin shoe styles in classic shades, Melania proved she can still surprise.

Upon her arrival at the White House, the First Lady caused a stir when she disembarked wearing a venturesome pick of a colorful pair of Louboutin Cinestripes. It featured some brightly colored stripes that contrasted well with the navy blue dress she had sported.
