A recent report claims that Queen Elizabeth II might be the reason why her grandson Prince Harry never proposed to his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy. The newly-resurface report suggests that Her Majesty was the key player why the Duke of Sussex decided not to marry his longtime ex-girlfriend.

Prince Harry is married to former American actress Meghan Markle for over a year now, and the couple welcomed their first-born Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor just last month. But before the Prince met his wife, he had romantic relationships with other women and among them is Davy.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly loves partying and was known for his rebellious antics. He and his ex-girlfriend were a couple for about seven years, and they had their highs and lows. The two separated in 2011, but there were rumors they had "one last fling" in 2015, just before Prince Harry met Markle.

Now, a recently resurfaced report claims that Queen Elizabeth might have been the reason why her grandson never considered proposing to Davy. According to a 2006 report in the Sunday Express, a Palace aide revealed that the monarch issued "stark warning" to her grandsons regarding marrying too fast as she reportedly felt "enough is enough" when it comes to royal divorces.

The aide noted that the Duke of Sussex greatly benefitted for waiting a couple of years before settling down. Queen Elizabeth reportedly saw the damaged caused on the monarchy by the divorces of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as well as Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

The aide added that since Her Majesty is the head of the Church, she is opposed to royal divorces from the point of principle. The monarch has already witnessed divorces to some royal family members, including her Prince Charles and Princess Diana, as well as her three eldest children.

The Queen reportedly thinks that "enough is enough" and even though she doesn't want to name names, she's determined that there will be no more royal divorces during her reign. The Palace aide also said the concept of divorces goes against the whole upbringing of Queen Elizabeth, which is reportedly about "duty" and "soldiering on" in the face of adversity.

The aid further noted that Her Majesty inherited her views from her mother, The Queen Mother. She also believes that the marriages of Prince William and Prince Harry are for keeps, and she reportedly felt that the latter would greatly benefit as he has been a bachelor for several years.
