After a long wait, Siren Season 2 Episode 9 will finally hit the small screens. Freeform has dropped "No North Star" official trailer and photos that hint how intense the new episode will be. But aside from the mermaids, what will happen next to Xander (Ian Verdun)?
The midseason finale didn't look good for Xander. In Siren Season 2 Episode 9 trailer, Nicole (Natalee Linez) visits Xander. Although these two are not amicable of each other right now, she still tries her best to check on him after what happened to his boat.
Nicole has been trying to reach him through text, but to no avail. She even tries to get some information about him elsewhere about his whereabouts before she finds a way to see him.
According to CarterMatt, Xander is quite skeptical of Nicole's real motive. Xander thinks Nicole only checks on him to gather some information. So, Nicole has to convince Xander that her intention is clear, and she is "there for the right reasons" to extract the details she needs.
However, it is still up to Xander if she will accept Nicole again. He seems to be still hurt. So unless he gives Nicole a chance, there is nothing she can do or get from him. Xander and Nicole's storyline will be seen at play on Siren Season 2 Episode 9.
Meanwhile, Freeform also drops Siren Season 2 Episode 9 official set photos, showing Ryn (Eline Powell), Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola), and Xander, via Showbiz Junkies. The three are waiting inside the hospital while seriously talking. There is also a scene where they are laughing.
In another snap, Ben (Alex Roe) is seen walking on the hall. There is also a picture where he is with Maddie, and they look confused. So what will happen in "No North Star?"
"Ben, Maddie, and the other humans deal with the fallout from the attack on the oil rig, while the mermaids reacclimate to their ocean home," Siren Season 2 Episode 9 official synopsis read. "Ryn comes back to land to follow through on an agreement she made with the military, despite not knowing what their ultimate goals are."
Siren Season 2 Episode 9 will be out on Thursday, June 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform. It is the first episode since the show went on a hiatus in March.
