Mozhan Marno is known for her role in The Blacklist as Samar Navabi, and following her time on the NBC series, the actress has landed on another role. She will reportedly appear as a guest star in The Affair season 5.

The news was first announced by the show's executive producer Sarah Treem via Twitter post, though it remains unclear right now what would be the role of Marno in The Affair season 5 and how many episodes she'll be part of. Since she left during The Blacklist season 6, Marno probably had some times doing at least one or two episodes of the Showtime program.

A lot of fans also believe that The Affair needs to have additional characters, as they wanted to witness something new and different in the series. It's worth noting that Ruth Wilson will not be coming back in the fifth season, while the status of Joshua Jackson in the series is unclear until now since he is not a series regular.

But, what's interesting about Treem's photo shared via Instagram is that Marno will be playing a different role in The Affair season 5 - entirely different from her role as Samar in The Blacklist. As seen in the photo, her character is very different in terms of style and look compared to her previous role in the NBC series.

It can be noted that Marno's role is that she's working alongside FBI agents to round up Blacklisters at the behest of Raymond Reddington. And even though her character is possibly still out there, she was recognized that there's no staying near Aram, as well as the rest of the Task Force.

Meanwhile, The Affair season 5 will reportedly arrive in August, and it was said that this would be the final installment of the series. The fifth season will feature two different eras so that fans will be seeing the present time and the future. In the present time, it is very likely that Helen and Noah will be going to piece their lives together after the challenges and pain that they have gone through.

Then in the future, fans would probably have the chance to see an older version of Joanie (played by Anna Paquin) where she'll be putting on her Sherlock Holmes cap as she needs to figure out what happened to Allison. It's possible that Ben killed her, but most viewers don't believe what they saw, particularly due to the ambiguous nature of Wilson's final episode.
