It has been months already ever since the news about The Last Kingdom's new season renewal was officially announced. Back in December, the fans have rejoiced upon learning the show's return for an all-new season. And this is just a month after the third season finale. So, it became a winning moment for most of the fans and viewers of the show.
However, there were no actual reported dates yet for its premiere and release. This is why a lot of people are theorizing that it might take some time for the new installment to arrive on Netflix and BBC2. Most of the fandom see the premiere of The Last Kingdom Season 4 to be in 2020 which is only fitting considering the pattern of schedules for every new season release date.
For months, this has been the apparent speculation for the show's official arrival. But when the news about the show's filming commencement hit the media back in April, the majority of the viewers speculated that it is also possible that The Last Kingdom Season 4 will arrive in the late months of 2019.
It is also worth noting that the show's creator revealed recently that the new season might arrive in Autumn. So, there is a huge chance that the fans can already witness what will happen next to Uhtred son of Uhtred come the -ber months of this year.
Another point in fact as to why this is possible is due to the recently released teaser materials made by the cast members on their respective social media accounts.
As mentioned, the filming already started in April. So, that was already two months ago, and a lot of things do happen within this time frame. And based on the teasers posted by some of the main actors, it looks like things will be much bigger when the new season arrives.
Magnus Bruun, who plays the role of Cnut, has been sharing a few updates about The Last Kingdom's filming and preparation. And looking at his feed recently, he teased about a certain battle that will happen in Season 4.
Also, Mark Rowley, who plays the role of Finan, posted a photo on Instagram with co-star Millie Brady, who happens to be the Lady of Mercia in the series, in their respective costumes with their colorful umbrellas.
But the most interesting of all the teasers is the photo of Uhtred himself with an all-new haircut which appears to be very appealing to the fans of the show. And based on the commotion on social media today, it seemingly appears that the viewership rating for the premiere will be remarkable.
