The new CBS procedural series, The Code, just premiered last April 9. And following the episodes that aired on the network, it looks like the fans see the show as one of its great materials. The number of viewers shows a developing trend, which makes it more appealing and interesting to watch. However, it came as a surprise to everyone when the series immediately took a break from the network.
The last episode that aired on CBS is Lioness. It premiered on June 3. But a week after, there was no episode that has been shown for the newly arrived series. And based on recent reports, it looks like The Code is taking a break for over a month.
Sadly, there are no further news or updates as to why they are taking a break. But given the primary revelations about the series, it has been previously stated that the pilot season is set to have a total of 8 episodes. And since the show has been gaining more fans and viewers, it is possible that they've added more installments to the pilot season of the show.
Even so, there are already revealed titles for the next set of episodes. Also, the dates are already marked for the show's return.
On July 1, The Code Episode 9 titled, Smoke-Pit, will be the first episode to air to continue the course of the pilot season. Followed by the Secret Squirrel episode, which will air on July 8. A week after, the Don and Doff episode will premiere and serve as the eleventh installment to the season. And on July 22, the speculated pilot season finale episode titled, Legit Bad Day, will arrive.
So far, these are the only details given to the fans and viewers about the show's return on CBS. And until further notice, this schedule will be the final setup for the series.
As for June, it has been already unveiled that reruns of Magnum P.I. will be aired in replacement to The Code's absence. While the reboot series is well-loved by many, a lot of people are surprised that this happened.
But based on the theories of other viewers, they largely believe that this is a huge preparation for the arrival of Magnum P.I.'s new season. And this is just logical and a smart move for CBS to add more hype to their shows' premieres and arrivals.
