The 40 years old eight-division champion is currently on his feet preparing for his fight against a younger opponent Keith Thurman. But, according to his weight and conditioning Coach Justine Fortune, Pacquaio is still the faster boxer than WBA welterweight champ Keith Thurman. The conditioning coach added that Thurman would know how tough it is to handle the speed and power of the Filipino boxing champion.

While Fortune acknowledged Thurman as a puncher, he said that the boxer is not fast. He added that the American boxer is the slow guy in the welterweight division. Fortune is confident that Pacquaio will obliterate his opponent because of his unbelievable speed. Keith Thurman's last fight was not that impressive and he almost lost it to Josesito Lopez.

Justine Fortune is also confident of what their camp is currently doing. He relayed that they know better than to gauge Thurman based on his previous fight with Lopez. The conditioning coach believes that Thurman will be at his best since he is going to fight one of the best boxers in history.

Keith Thurman has a 29-0 22 KO win-loss record and will set it square with Manny Pacquiao who holds a win-loss-draw record of 61-7-2 39 KOs on July 20 in Las Vegas. The WBS welterweight champion is excited to finally get to fight the superstar boxer. He was coming from a long period of inactivity then succeeded by a tough fight last January.

However, Thurman expects that he will win in his upcoming fight against the Filipino boxing legend. In one of his interviews, Thurman said that Pacquaio has proven many times that he is a beatable fighter. He said that he is going to add his name on the list of the fighters who have beaten the boxing legend.

The WBA champ also said that Pacquaio's style is predictable and he boxes in spurts. While the American boxer acknowledges his opponent's power, he said that his time has come and his athleticism, movement, and knowledge in the ring are something that his opponent has not seen yet.

Thurman's last statement could be an oversell. Manny Pacquiao has won and lost many battles inside the ring and has his own share with some of the greatest boxers in the industry. That is something Keith Thurman has not yet experienced.  Pacquaio is already 40 years old and could be vulnerable to poor style matchups. But, whether Thurman could overpower the experienced fighter still remains to be seen.
