Since the release of Nintendo Switch, gamers have been requesting for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" to be in the platform. Over the years, there have been several speculations that the popular open-world title is coming to the hybrid console. But, it was only recently when all these speculations were confirmed.
While gamers are excited to play "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" on Nintendo Switch, there are several adjustments and compromises that were made to make this release possible. Some of the details on the highly anticipated release were slowly revealed by the game's official Twitter account. This gives fans a better sense of how a seemingly impossible project of releasing a massive title on Switch became possible.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Collector's Edition will be available in a 32GB game card. Players are no longer required to download the game to enjoy it. So far, it is the first Nintendo Switch title to ship on a 32GN game card after "Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2" were released in Japan. The official Twitter account of the game also shared several details on the resolution of the game on the hybrid console.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will have a 720p resolution while docked and 540p on handheld mode with dynamic resolution toggled on screen. This is one of the compromises that the team possibly made to bring the game to the hybrid console. It implies that the game is not going to look as crisp as its other version in other platforms.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" on Nintendo Switch will not support cross-save. This has been confirmed by the game's official Twitter account. This is sad news to most gamers since cross-save allows them to import save from PC or PlayStation 4 and continue the game from where they left it.
But, the announcement that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Collector's Edition releasing on Nintendo Switch is already a miracle. A few compromises will not hurt loyal fans and gamers. Meanwhile, the game released in complete edition means that players will be able to access that base game and also the subsequent expansions.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Collector's Edition joins the increasing list of games on the hybrid console Nintendo Switch. This includes "Diablo 3," "Dark Souls," "Skyrim," "LA Noire," and "Dragon's Dream." There is no specific release date yet but Nintendo Switch already confirmed that the game is arriving this year.
