Out of nowhere Keanu Reeves walked into the stage at E3 2019 Xbox Briefing event and unveiled "Cyberpunk 2077." And, if this is not so much of a surprise for fans, the "John Wick" star unveiled the cinematic gameplay trailer of the upcoming title with his face as the last still image before the trailer ends. But, most fans are now wondering who is the character that the "Matrix" star will play in the much-awaited game that is available for pre-release starting today.

"Cyberpunk 2077" is now a trending topic on Twitter when fans heard earlier today that they will be playing alongside "John Wick" himself in the upcoming title. Keanu surprised fans when he took the center stage during the E3 2019 Xbox Briefing event and unveiled "Cyberpunk 2077." But, it could not get any more badass when fans realized that the legendary actor will also be one of the characters in the game.
But, along with the hype comes the nagging question, which character will Keanu Reeves portray in the "Cyberpunk 2077?" According to a press release, the character is no other than the legendary Johnny Silverhand of the "Cyberpunk 2077" lore. The press release states that the legendary rocker is portrayed by the "Johnny Mnemonic" star. In addition to his likeness and voice, Keanu Reeves provides the full-body motion capture of the character.
Potential Storyline
Since the guitarist-rocker slash singer slash, Johnny Silverhand slash Keanu Reeves is already confirmed in the game fans are wondering about the storyline. Many "Cyberpunk 2077" nerds have been speculating that the storyline could potentially include something about the notorious grudge against the mega company, Arasaka Corporation.
But, what makes this so interesting is that CD Projekt RED already established that the character of Johnny Silverhand was already dead. During the E3 event, it can be heard over the radio broadcast that the rocker died a year ago. Additionally, according to the "Cyberpunk" lore Johnny Silverhand died in 2024.
Seeing his character alive and speaking to the main protagonist of "Cyberpunk 2077" means many things to fans and players of the upcoming game. It could be that CD Projekt RED is now taking liberties with the already established lore of the previous game. It is also possible that something more interesting is happening or has happened in the previous game that is yet to be revealed in "Cyberpunk 2077."
So far, what we know is that the original creator of the game is very involved in the development of "Cyberpunk 2077." Also, the fictional band of Johnny Silverhand is going to provide the tracks of the upcoming in-game soundtrack of "Cyberpunk 2077." The game will be released on April 2020.
