According to a KBS report on the 16th, the police did file a separate investigative report about iKON's B.I alleged drug use and forwarded the case to prosecution. The prosecutor's office, however, took no further action in the case.

The document KBS references is dated as August 31, 2016, the day after “A” returned to the police with her lawyer to change her testimony about B.I’s involvement. The document clearly states B.I’s real name Kim Han Bin in the title, and the report also notes how “A” had previously talked about purchasing marijuana for B.I and delivering it to him but had changed her testimony when she returned with her lawyer.

The report notes the suspicions police had at the time about the new testimony, stating how the lawyer did not allow “A” to speak freely and appeared to be given written instructions to give an obscure testimony. It is also stated that when the lawyer momentarily left the room, “A” began crying and said, “I’m sorry. There’s something going on that I can’t talk about.”

Since police appeared to have submitted their reports on the alleged drug allegations involving B.I, many are asking for clarifications from the prosecution as to why they didn't prosecute the case and why they allowed the informant “A,” who is believed to be Han Seo Hee, to leave the country at that time.

In August 2016, Han Seo Hee was arrested for violating the Drug Control Act. Her cell phone was confiscated, and the chat logs between Han Seo Hee and B.I were obtained. Han Seo Hee was also previously placed on probation for four years in 2017 for smoking marijuana with BIGBANG‘s T.O.P.

In a statement posted on his Instagram account, B.I admitted to being involved in illegal drugs and apologized for his actions. "I would like to sincerely apologize for stirring up trouble due to my tremendously inappropriate actions,” he wrote. “It is true that I wanted to rely on something that I shouldn’t have had any interest in due to going through a hard and painful time. However, I was too scared and fearful to do it. I intend to humbly self-reflect on my mistake and leave the team.”

iKON's talent agency, YG Entertainment, also announced the 22-year-old iKONS leader’s departure from the group as well as the termination of his contract.

iKON debuted in 2015 as a 7-member group with the song "Rhythm Ta." Their other singles include "Love Scenario," "Killing Me," and "Goodbye Road."
