Recent reports claim Queen Elizabeth II did not allow her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle from bringing their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to the Trooping the Colour earlier this month. Here's the reason why Her Majesty reportedly stopped the royal couple from bringing their child on the mentioned occasion.

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the Trooping the Colour together with their three children on June 8 to celebrate the birthday of the monarch. This is also Prince Louis' first time going to the particular event, and he stole the show with a royal wave.

But in a report from The Sun, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that Queen Elizabeth felt that Prince Harry and Markle's son was too young to attend the royal engagement. She said that Her Majesty could've easily said through her private secretary that Archie was "too young" to be on the palace balcony.

It can be noted that the monarch took Prince Edward to the balcony back in June 1964, but he was three-month-old during those times and she's the Queen so she can do whatever she liked. Seward also said that Her Majesty considers the Trooping the Colour as an even that would be enjoyed by young royal family members - but not as young as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son.

It is also very likely that Queen Elizabeth only wants to make sure that young royals would behave properly during such an event. The royal expert explained that the last thing the monarch reportedly wants is for millions of TV viewers to witness a royal baby's tantrum.

Moreover, the absence of Archie from the Trooping the Colours isn't a surprise to most of the royal fans. It can be recalled that Prince William and Middleton didn't also bring Prince Louis to the royal engagement last year because he's only a few weeks old during those times.

But then, according to Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, the absence of Archie to the Trooping the Colour has nothing to do with Queen Elizabeth. He said that the decision was likely up to Prince Harry and Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly didn't want their son to outshine Her Majesty.

Fitzwilliams added the royal fans only had brief glimpses of Archie, but he suspected that Prince Harry and Markle are probably waiting for his Christening until the public will see him again. Thus, it's possible that their son's next public appearance will be during his Christening.
