The new HBO series Euphoria has only started yet people are already obsessed with the characters and the show's realistic storyline. For instance, fans are drawn to Jules Vaughn, who only wants to find someone to connect with. But is Jules getting so much more than she had bargained for? Euphoria Season 1 Episode 3 might finally reveal the truth about ShyGuy118.
In the second episode 'Stuntin' Like My Daddy,' Jules begins chatting online with a mysterious new guy who goes by the name ShyGuy. It immediately becomes clear that she likes this guy because he's a lot nicer than the other men she has met in the hookup app. However, it is later revealed that ShyGuy is connected to Jules' previous date Cal Jacobs. By the end of the episode, it is confirmed that ShyGuy is Cal's son Nate Jacobs, but he tells Jules that his name is Tyler, the man that Nate's girlfriend Maddy had hooked up with in the premiere.
Nate Jacobs' own story slowly unfolded in Episode 2 as it is shown that he has been verbally and emotionally abused by his father. All that abuse has led to Nate having anger issues, and this becomes clear when he stalks and ultimately attacks Tyler. Then, for some reason, he takes some of Tyler's clothes and wears it as he goes on a date with Maddy. Could this mean that Nate is taking on Tyler's identity in Euphoria Season 1 Episode 3?
The preview for 'Made You Look' certainly suggests that Jules already has strong feelings for ShyGuy. At one point, she tells Rue Bennett that she's not saying she's in love, but she likes him. However, Rue doesn't seem completely convinced. Is it possible that Rue might be on to Nate's plans of fooling her friend?
Although people are probably hoping that Jules will figure out the truth about ShyGuy right away, it looks like Euphoria Season 1 Episode 3 has other troubles to deal with. The promo for 'Made You Look' focuses on Kat Hernandez as she tries her hand at being a cam girl. In addition to that, Rue will be facing some trouble for what she's been doing at Narcotics Anonymous.
An excerpt of the new episode's synopsis reads as follows: "Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and McKay (Algee Smith) spend the weekend at his school and go to a party at the frat he's rushing. Rue is confronted about her lies at NA."
Will Jules discover Nate's secret? Is it finally time for Rue to sober up? Euphoria Season 1 Episode 3 will air on HBO on June 30.
