A new report claims that the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actress is up for the role of Barbara Gordon in the DC Extended Universe flick Batgirl.
There have been several actors who are rumored to be up for the lead role in the highly anticipated Warner Bros. film which will focus on Batman's longtime ally. Previous reports have mentioned that Twilight actress Kristen Stewart while Suburgatory star Jane Levy has admitted that she is interested in playing Barbara Gordon. However, the latest news suggests that the studio might already have its eye on a Star Wars Episode 9 actress. Could Daisy Ridley be cast as the lead in Batgirl?
According to the report, Daisy Ridley is the frontrunner for the role of Barbara Gordon. However, she isn't the only one that Warner Bros. is interested in in casting as Batgirl. The report also reveals that 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford is another actress that the studio is interested in. However, it is important to point out that Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed these rumors so it is best to take it with a grain of salt.
Although it is still unclear if Daisy Ridley will eventually portray the Caped Crusader's ally, there is a huge chance that she will be busy for the next few years.
