Sergeant James Hayes is sure to come back on screen as Glitch Season 3 is reportedly arriving soon.

Ever since the show's second installment wrapped up in October of 2017, a lot of the fans have wondered when the new season will arrive. But while the series has shown great and promising followings and ratings, it is only a year after that ABC and Netflix commissioned the third season.

On October 2018, the filming for the new season officially began. However, there are no confirmations yet as to when it will arrive this year. Even so, there are already speculations that it might follow a middle to the late-year premiere date.

The pilot season of Glitch officially entered the screens on the month of July in 2015 and ended the course a month after. As for the second season, it continued the plot of the series in September 2017 and wrapped up in October.

While there is no evident pattern when it comes to its release dates, it seems that the series' seasons are always set to commence during the mid-summer and early fall season. Hence, it is very likely that Glitch Season 3 would arrive in between the last two quarters of the year per What's On Netflix.

As anyone would recall, the main premise of the show is when seven people have risen from the dead in Yoorana, Victoria. Accordingly, the small town policeman, Sgt. James Hayes was called in the cemetery to determine the scene and the identities of people who have risen from the dead.

The pilot season ran by following Sgt. James and his challenges to get the identities of the seven individuals. And of course, he did at the end of the first installment. However, answering the "who" question was just the beginning. And indeed, they would need to know how they did it and for what purpose.

Quite amusingly, Glitch Season 2 elaborated the processes. The plot continued to answer the questions of how they did it. In fact, the main characters even learned the mysterious and thrilling "rules" of the universe. However, the finale seemed to left the fans with heart-stopping cliffhangers.

So while the revelations on how they were able to rise from the dead were already discovered, the show ended by opening a lot more questions, especially the whys of it. Hence, it is very likely that the upcoming six-episode season will focus on determining the purpose and reason behind these events that happened in Victoria.
