As British Monarchy tries to avoid remembering the birth months of two of the most controversial personalities in the history of the British Royal Family, Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson will always remain as the royal couple who fought for love and have chosen love over the British throne. And not only because it is both their birth months, but the topic will also most likely resurface because of where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now lives and the similarities of Markle and Simpson.

Edward VIII is famously known as the King of the United Kingdom who abdicated his role in order to be with the woman he loves. Because of the constitutional crisis of marrying an American divorcee, Edward VIII chose love over being King of the United Kingdom and he made it known over a radio announcement that shocked the whole world.

All hopes were alive as the baby boy named Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David was born June 23, 1894, as Queen Victoria just celebrated her 57th anniversary of accession. His birth ensured three generations of the heir to pass on her crown and throne. But the little prince has since then been seen with the kind of temperament and doubts of taking the throne, which has sealed their worst fears on the day he abdicated.

For some people, if it didn't love then, it is not too strong that a man can give up his role as King, as he even gave up his role as son and a relative to the rest of the British Royal Family. However, royal biographer, Andrew Morton who wrote Wallis In Love: The Untold Life Of The Duchess Of Windsor, The Woman Who Changed The Monarchy has thought otherwise because of the alleged affairs of Wallis Simpson.

In contrary to that, Biographer Anna Pasternak on her book The Real Wallis Simpson claims that the American socialite tried to stop Edward VIII from ruining the entire line of the throne but the latter said that he cannot live without her, and reportedly threatened to commit suicide if she ever left him. Because of not realizing the true position of the king in the British constitutional system, Wallis Simpson was unaware of what the future holds for her.

They married six months after the abdication, on June 3, 1937, at the Château de Candé, a castle outside of Tours, France, an intimate ceremony were members of the British Royal Family were forbidden from attending. With that great move, Wallis Simpson endured the negative impression of a lot of people from her for a very long time.
