Set photos from the Game of Thrones Prequel production is now surfacing online, and there is one snap that is hinting the appearance of one particular house. It looks like the Lannisters will still be seen in the spinoff series, although it will be set thousands of years before the original series takes place.
Watchers on the Wall shared a snap of a cave-like setting at Titanic Studios, where Game of Thrones was also filmed. Here, a small image of a lion statue, which is the Lannister's sigil, can be seen when you zoom in the photo.
So what does the Lannister's sigil doing in the Game of Thrones Prequel? Reportedly called Bloodmoon, the series is set during the Age of Heroes, the time the Lannisters were even not around.
I couldn’t find the cable to connect the camera to the computer so these are old.

So, how could that happen? According to Winter is Coming, before the Lannisters conquered the Casterly Rock, it was ruled by the Casterlys. However, legend has it that the gods led the house founder, Corlos Casterly, to a mine where he could find gold after he set free the cub of the lion that he killed.
When he found the gold, he built a great fortress, the Casterly Rock. The house became the wealthiest family in the Seven Kingdoms, but the Casterlys were tricked out of their house with the arrival of Lann the Clever, whose descendants became the Lannisters.
Details about the history behind the Casterly Rock remain vague so that fans may know more about it in the Game of Thrones Prequel. With the appearance of the lion statue, it may only mean that the sigil has been around since the Age of Heroes.
Aside from Belfast, news emerged the Game of Thrones Prequel would also be set in Italy. Business Times recently reported there are talks that the show would be filmed inside the famous Grotta del Turco, a cave located in the deepest part of Montagna Spaccata or Split Mountain.
The place is famous for its rocky landscape overlooking the sea. However, HBO is reportedly still securing its permit to start filming in the area as it can only be explored up to its 60th step. The park has been taking great measure to keep the place safe after the small collapses that occurred in 2016.
Other details about the Game of Thrones Prequel production include the prop board on set. There were locations like WI Court, Village, Inn, Enclave, Barn, SY + RA House, Long Hall, Fort Hall/Bath House, Oubliette, and Terraces.
The village and the barn only mean there will be places like it that will be seen in the Game of Thrones Prequel. However, other names like "SY + RA House" remain a big mystery.
