Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) is back at work in Elementary Season 7 Episode 7, but he is about to receive the biggest surprise of his life. As soon as he steps back to the office, he will learn one of his best detectives quits, and someone is behind it.
"Holmes [Jonny Lee Miller] and Watson [Lucy Liu] investigate the murder of a criminal who made his living by stealing from other criminals," "From Russia with Drugs" official synopsis read. "Capt. Gregson returns and suspects his interim replacement is responsible for one of his best detective's suspicious departure."
The detective's departure on Gregson's return seems odd. She doesn't give any details about her exit or even where she is going. It also looks a little surprising that she doesn't want to say anything about it to the boss she admires.
Now, the bigger question will be, will Gregson investigate about it in Elementary Season 7 Episode 7? According to CarterMatt, Odin Reichenbach (James Frain) may have something to do with it. She may be joining the tech-genius to his "new, crime-prediction" journey.
Odin strongly believes he is doing the right thing to save the world. However, there will be some issues, especially on the "working out the kinks" part of their operation. There may be deaths that will question the effectivity of their work.
There are things that Gregson doesn't know about Odin. He has no idea how extent his power is and no knowledge what Sherlock knows about him and the NSA.
Sherlock may be keeping a secret from Gregson to do a digging of his own. He may do everything to keep things under wraps as he wants to save the team from the danger that Odin can bring. With his power and influence, he can surely do anything he wants to keep his image clean and continue his evil plans.
Meanwhile, Elementary Season 7 has yet to hit the UK's small screens. But TVWise reported it would soon be out in the country.
Fans can finally watch the last and final season of Sherlock and Watson's detective story on Tuesday, July 16, at 9 p.m. on Sky Witness. Elementary Season 7 Episode 7, "From Russia with Drugs," on the other hand, will be out in the US on the exact day of Fourth of July on CBS.
