The feud between Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has caught the attention of royal fans all over the world. It was rumored that two actresses had a major falling out but what happened that pitted the two celebrities against each other?
It was reported that former Suits star Meghan Markle and Quantico lead actress Priyanka Chopra first met in 2016 and the two television actors just clicked immediately. While they never worked on a project together, the pair kept in touch through mail and text. They would also meet each other whenever they were in the same area together.
Meghan Markle even said that at one point, she shared with Priyanka that she would love to do a Bollywood movie with her as it would be so much fun to work together with a friend.
However, rumors of a feud began to surface when the Duchess of Sussex was nowhere to be found at Priyanka Chopra's lavish wedding to singer Nick Jonas in India. Rumors were further fueled by the fact that Priyanka also did not attend the baby shower for Meghan when she was pregnant with baby Archie Harrison, Express UK reported.
While the two stars failed to attend significant milestones in each other's lives, they laid to rest any issues of a feud as Priyanka and her husband Nick paid a visit to Meghan and Baby Archie at the royal family's Frogmore Cottage to bring the newborn gifts and kisses just this May. The Quantico star also shared s congratulatory snap of her friend and her husband Prince Harry on her personal Instagram and shared her well wishes for the royal couple and their son.
In a recent interview with Elle UK, Priyanka shared that she always believed that Meghan was always destined her bigger things and that her marriage to the royal family gives her the platform she needs to make big changes in the world.
"To be a change and be an important voice in doing that. It's amazing that she found that calling and has the platform to be able to do it," Priyanka said about Meghan Markle.
"I'm a big believer in taking charge of your life, but there's got to be something bigger that puts us into the circumstances that we are put in. Destiny has a weird way of helping you to find your calling," Priyanka further said about the Duchess of Sussex's journey.
