Fans are about to see a lot of changes in Riverdale Season 4 after the previous season ended with a major cliffhanger. Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) disappearance in the Season 3 finale is still shrouded with mystery. But as the Core Four is about to start their new lives in college, everything is about to change.
Jughead, Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), and Archie's (K.J. Apa) high school days will be over in Riverdale Season 4. The group is about to start their college life, and they will surely be in a different setting.
The previous season's flash-forward scene gave fans a glimpse of the coming of new friends and enemies. A Redditor even came up with a theory that the show might take a major time jump and feature everyone back in Riverdale after their college years.
"If they do, I think it'll jump to after college where everyone goes back to Riverdale," the Reddit user said. "But the comic was about high school... so I don't know."
However, there are predictions that the four will never go to college at all. Veronica wants to go to New York, although she now owns SpeakEasy and Pops. Archie owns a gym; Jughead is the Serpent King, while Betty's mother took all her money.
Meanwhile, as Riverdale Season 4's details are kept under wraps, there are claims that it may feature a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover. The previous season revealed an Easter egg that suggested Archie and Jughead might visit Greendale, per Express.
In Riverdale Season 3 Episode 6, titled "Manhunter," there was a joke that suggested Archie and Jughead should go to Greendale. If ever it happens, it will be not the first time that a Riverdale character is going to crossover Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
To recall, Ben Button (Moses Thiessen) went to Greendale to deliver a pizza to Mrs Wardwell (Michelle Gomez). In an interview with showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, he told Entertainment Tonight the two show's crossover has a "deep mythology where time and space bends."
Ben already died in Riverdale, but he was still alive in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He continued to say everyone pops up in Greendale, as the dead don's stay dead there.
However, Archie and Jughead may not visit the place anytime soon. So there may be no crossover happening in Riverdale Season 4.
Although Sacasa loves to have a crossover, Riverdale has no supernatural stuff that can be played in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Riverdale Season 4 is set to be out on Oct. 4 on The CW.
