Read at your own risk: This article contains spoilers for London Kills.

The British procedural television series, London Kills, is about to return in less than two weeks. While this may come as a surprise to the fans, it has been already revealed that the second season’s release date is already sealed.

As any fan would recall, the pilot season of the show first premiered on February 26 of this year. And with a total of five episodes, the initial run was dropped all at once on Acorn TV. So, in just a few hours of binge-watching London Kills, the whole premise of the course can be easily comprehended.

Apparently, the show revolves around a detective inspector from London, David Bradford, who spearheads an “elite” murder investigation squad in the city. As all things fall into place during the first few minutes, everything went in black when his wife disappeared.

But of course, being the leader of the squad entails a lot of responsibilities, especially that they are focusing on crucial murder cases. Even so, the apparent disappearance of his wife became the “steady” mystery case throughout the course of London Kills Season 1.

At the end of the pilot run, it has been uncovered that Sharon is not dead. And there are hints that David might have something to do with her appearance. However, the main clues point to the big villain of the season, Amber, who is a psychotic serial killer as Sharon’s purse was spotted in her belongings.

According to Meaww, Amber died in the last few moments of the pilot season finale. Accordingly, David wasn’t able to get enough information about Sharon which still leaves him in the dark.

London Kills Season 2 will probably continue where it last left off. And as per the general theories of the fandom, Sharon might already appear in the following episodes. Even so, these are only speculations made after the events of the pilot season. So, there is still a huge chance that things would go differently once the new season arrives.

Recently, Variety reported that London Kills is about come home as BBC “acquired” the series from Acorn TV. The agreement between two networks covers two installments of the show. This is why BBC One aired a re-run of the pilot season for five days starting last June 24.

As for the second season, it has been commissioned already and confirmed to arrive on July 16, on BBC One and Acorn TV.
